Portrait of the Gillioz Family

Winegrower partners for 3 generations

Jean Gillioz, IP-SUISSE approved producer and second-generation winemaker for Maison MAYE, shares why the IP-SUISSE approach is important and his motivation for embarking on this adventure.

We’d like to take this opportunity to highlight one of our oldest grape supplier families 🍇 The Gillioz family is all about heritage. In fact, we have been purchasing the Gillioz family’s grape harvest for three generations. Michel still remembers his first delivery of grapes to MAYE, at the young age of eighteen. It was 1955. Michel continues to remember all the details of that experience, as if it were yesterday.

The pursuit of quality and respect for nature has been handed down from generation to generation.

Jean, well aware of the family heritage he wishes to pass on to his son, decided to adopt a sustainable IP-SUISSE approach, in order to be more in line with nature. The three generations – Jean, Alexis and Michel Gillioz – are proudly united around this magnificent visionary project.
